In December I had a photographer friend who encouraged us all to give back.  She came up with an amazing idea called Giving is Awesome.  The Ober family was chosen.  I didn’t get to photograph their family right away because their sweet baby boy was in and out of the hospital for a few months.  But recently we all got together and had a BLAST!  It was hot (REALLY HOT) but they never once complained.  I was praying for this family long before they were chosen so I felt like we had been friends for forever.  But I have a feeling that everyone feels that way about them after spending a little time with them.  They were AMAZING!   I would love for you to read about their story and add their sweet Joshua to your prayers each night.  He is a doll and I wanted to take him home with me…I couldn’t understand why his sisters wouldn’t allow it!  :  )

Towards the end of the session we all started to get emotional.  At one point mom was holding dad and the girls went to comfort them.  My first thought was to walk away and let them have time to themselves.  But when Joshua went and wrapped his arms around all of them I couldn’t help but “capture” the moment.  It will go down as one of my all time favorite photos because of the love I felt with this family at that very moment.

When we had the contest I said I would give them $500 worth of custom photography.  I have changed that and they will be recieving my $1200 package.  I feel blessed to photograph this family and I will treasure the time I got to spend with them…we laughed, we cried and we captured some wonderful memories!  Thank you Obers for sharing your family with me!  You are amazing parents and even better role models for us all!

Wow! First of all, I fell in love with this precious boy as soon as I saw him. What an absolute doll, and beautiful family altogether. Love is something I am so grateful for each day and these pictures remind me of that. You have definitely captured love and pulled at my heartstrings. It was very easy to smile, laugh and cry as I scrolled through these. I love your work.

Great pictures – I love the 2nd photo – the black and white of Eric and Olivia – maybe my favorite – and I love the family hug photo – that is more serious – it exudes (sp?) emotion. It is not a “happy picture” but it is a picture that gets you to “feel” to think – to wonder about the people in the photo.

I also love the first family photo . . .
They are all good – but those are my favorites.
