I have been so excited about this post. Mom was my big sister in the sorority. In December, her and her husband adopted this adorable little boy from China. When she called and asked if I could photograph him for her announcements I was thrilled. The problem was I had no open spots where I could drive to Austin to take them. So she jumped in the car and drove to me. It was about 40 degrees outside…SO COLD! But Jay was AWESOME. And let me tell you, he already LOVES his mama! Seriously L-O-V-E…cutest thing I’ve ever seen. I did all of my tricks to get kids to smile, even created a few new ones for him. Got nothing! Mom (who sings awesome and is in a band) busted out with her songs and Jay lit up like a Christmas tree. It melted my heart! Because they drove to me during the week and Dad couldn’t get off work, I’ve promised them a trip to Austin for their family pictures. I’ll be heading there at the beginning of June. Blackmon family, I’ll be wanting to see you and photograph your beautiful family too while I’m there if you are available!
What a precious kiddo this is… and you can feel the love between him and his mom in the adorable picture you took… what a treasure for them!
